Select Records is an American record label founded by Fred Munao in 1981. Throughout it’s rich history, the recording industry has produced genuine and innovative independent labels.

It has been said Select Records was among the founding fathers of rap music. Since the record label’s inception, Munao has been responsible for breaking chart-topping, genre elevating acts such as UTFO, Kid ‘N Play, The Real Roxanne, Chubb Rock, Whistle, and AMG.
